Welcome to Rapture.

In the world of Pokémon, there are those who would live peacefully beside their partners, and there are those who would use them to do harm. Many groups have tried to cause panic and mayhem using their Pokémon, but so far, their efforts have been thwarted, and not too long after their beginning.

However...

"Rapture" is a new group, and not one to be taken lightly. It is run by a mysterious man known to ride on a Rapidash with silver flame, and it is well known that he is followed by his Four Horsemen; Pestilence, a bug-training man who delights in seeing others come to their wits end; War, a fire-using woman with an attitude as hot as her Pokémon; Famine, a blind lover of dark types who knows just which nerves to push; and Death, a boy whose ghost Pokémon mimic his constant cold and apathetic state of mind. Under these "Horsemen" are the elite team known as "Seven", and below them, the grunts.

Their motives so far have been revealed to be concerned with an interest in warfare...and the physical transformations of Pokémon, whether it be by genetic means, or surgical. A number of strange Pokémon sightings have been recorded already.

Will you stand by idly and watch the world crumble beneath you, or will you join the resistance to stop it?

What you need to know:

-->This roleplay is set mainly in the Kanto and Hoenn Regions. The Rapture HQ is in Rustboro City(disguised as an office building), and the Absolution HQ is located in Vermilion City(out of the way, but just close enough to the Machop who's stomping the ground flat to annoy Emerald).

-->Rapture is the name of the group of criminals who steal Pokémon and conduct experiments to "splice" them together, making strong war machines that can be sold to prospective "customers" or be released into the wild to cause havoc. The spliced Pokémon have a name that combines all of the creatures that make up the new whole. Basically, Rapture's purpose as a villainous group is to promote war using spliced Pokémon. This is bad because A., Rapture is promoting warfare between regions, countries, you name it; and B., because it's harming Pokémon and creating abominations.

-->The head of Rapture is Seth.

-->Underneath Seth are the Horsemen, Grendal (Pestilence), Cinder (War), Sullen (Famine) and Tristan (Death). Each use a specific type of Pokémon and represent one of the Four Horsemen of Revelations. Fun fact!: For those who know their biblical history, the "other" horseman, the one "leader" and the one often representing the antichrist is represented by Seth.

-->Underneath the Horsemen are Seven, in other words, the seven deadly sins. You can apply to be a member of Seven if you do not want to be a trainer in the resistance.

-->Finally, there are grunts, who can be taken to be just as lame as any other grunt, and are basically NPCs that you use to level up. They can have pretty much any Pokémon, just like a normal trainer, but they're lame :/

-->The resistance, called Absolution, is comprised mainly of it's founders, White and Emerald, and friends, family and trainers they recruit to help them. They are still currently gathering comrades to fight along side them.

-->When you join this site, you'll more than likely be joining as a member of Absolution, though if you get here early you may be accepted into Seven.
